Not Nostradamus?

I cannot say I am Nostradamus, but I did say I was nostraBUSHus or some such words. At this time my search evades me.

Here though: I cannot say that I definitely did not hear any reference to Paul Krugman's suggestions,(I am pretty sure I didn't) but I take it a bit further. However, I do know it did not reach my inbox till yesterday*.

[Put another way? I rather endorse a Rumsfeld** attitude of healthy debate, but with an open mind and eyes and ears, there is no point in a table if the heat of light is not brought there. Where there is smoke, there is fire, but that does not mean visibility will improve or that some of the information is not going up in smoke.]

It is about the dialogue, even if it is grand sitting at times.]

I will only make one comment in that the bottom line is the people, and since the trickle down has caused an economic bubble if not civilization to go up in smoke and mirrors, that the burden is there on that bottom line, while the money is in the clouds. OK, now I'm rolling. But seriously, I am not sure if we are caught between salting the clouds and salting a mine, but Humpty Dumpty * needs help. Are these the Three Musketeers?

2.) Social Security is not a big deal to fix(separately), but could be impacted by the budget and other decisions.
3.) Austerity and investment are different stories, that both have an impact on the budget and winning the future as well as the now.
4.) Concessions should not be trickle down but incentives should be target up.
5.) Wall Street is not fixed enough to be that big or permanent a part of the solution.
6.) Social Security is not on the same budget table as Medicare and Medicaid and calling them "entitlements" is misleading, and means testing or tax changes could address their impact on our economy

Earlier in 2006, a provision included in the reauthorization of the Patriot Act allowed these positions to be filled by the administration without Senate approval.
[OK TWO MORE]In early 2007, hearings were held on the matter in both the House and Senate Judiciary Committee on the firings. Several of the fired attorneys testified that they had been contacted by members of Congress or executive officials about pending cases shortly before their termination. Such contact by members of Congress is a violation of both House and Senate rules.

I don't usually do so much homework, but then more than the media apparently. Unless it's the vast left wing conspiracy.

These are listed on the Wikipedia as 7 attorneys, plus an unlisted prosecutor who was replaced by a Rove aide. The math may not add up, but the 8 listed here include one, Kevin V. Ryan who resigned and all I could find were appointed by Bush. Which conflicts with the idea that Bush had not replace any attorneys, but fits in with that they were not serving at his pleasure.

So having done more homework than I have in quite some time; for not having done what Bill Clinton did, how were all eight of these appointed by Bush?

Note that not only do Democrats spend less they generally contribute less to the national debt, at least since the late 70's. OK, so there are only two Democrats before Obama, but look what happened to Carter for being conservative, and at least in Clinton's case he bent the curve in two terms.

Progress is Global

...and incremental, pragmatic, and needs to reflect diverse views and dynamics. It also should put the health care progress in proper perspective, as there are both employment and international consequences to changes, which congress must be in on addressing. Despite the fears of some, this is not a dictatorship or even a one party system but a triumvirate for the tetrahedron of the people.
